Ford GT 2017 , the 500k dollars scam .

If you are  a fan of the automotive industry , you are probably familiar with the contentious rivalry between Henry Ford and Enzo Ferrari . If not , here's a brief highlight on what happened , Ferrari's racing team was having financial problems as any other supercars manufacturer and it was heading to an imminent bankruptcy because  production cars were not yet a lucrative investment . Henry Ford was representing a big pole in the automotive industry because Ford was among the bestselling car brands ,quite like Volkswagen nowadays .

Henry Ford offered to buy Ferrari including the racing team, when Enzo Ferrari asked who will have the last word concerning the racing team "Scuderia Ferrari" he did not expect to hear that Ford himself will supervise all the decisions and became furious because he was a racing driver at Alfa Romeo , he felt that his passion will be taking away from him and therfore he refused to sell Ferrari .

In 1966 , as Ferrari were preparing for LeMans 24h , Ford surprised the world with a new car and a contender of Ferrari , and they called it the GT . The car performed so well that it claimed the first , second and thrid place in 1966 , and won the next two edition of LeMans 24h . The Ford gained therefore , sporting credentials and it was introduced to the world as a genuine sports car that manged to take on the crown from Ferrari .

50 years later , LeMans 24h witnessed the new generation of the Ford GT , and as expexcted it managed to win first place in the GT category  . The idea of producing a road production car seemed captivating again . So here we are ladies and gentlemen , the new 2017 Ford GT .

As you opened the article , you might liked its looks at first glance , but as you begin to concentrate on the details , you will definetly come up with the same conclusion as mine , this car  is filled with holes . You get , holes on the bonet ( hood [US] ) , on the sides ( giant ones ) and even in the backlights .

Surely these holes were meant for aerodynamic purposes but Ford didn't bother to make them maybe more artistcly designed . You will get what I meant by "artistic" when you have a look on the backend of this car .

I thought that the McLaren 12C had the worst backend design of any modern supercar , but look at this one , these holes can only remind me of a pig's nostrils , they are hideous indeed . As you focus more on the braking lights you will discover new holes . The relatively small wing at the back gives more hidousness that only raises one question : "Why would you buy something that looks like that " ?
The side giant holes remind me of  the ones on a Ferrari Testerossa , you get the ridiculous looks if you open its doors and frankly these two holes look like something that came back from the 1980's .

The company fitted the new GT with the same engine from their car from LeMans and , this is interesting , an integrated rolling cage in case you went Berzerk with this machine .

But Ford didn't mention that it is the same engine of a pick-up Truck , yes you read that right , " A pick-up Truck . Ford have borrowed the same engine from a Ford Raptor , the more powerful F150 , the exact 3.5 Liter V6 EcoBosst engine . The new GT develops 647 bhps at 6250 rpm and 550 lb-ft at 5900 rpm , from 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and you can get to that speed so fast thanks to the 7 speed automatic dual clutch gearbox with a manual shiftability . The car comes with one engine choice as standard which is great so you won't feel that there's someone else with a more powerful GT than yours .

There are five driving mode of the GT , the really interesting thing  about these driving modes is the V+ mode which allows you to reach the GT's top speed which is 212 mph , interesting stuff keep on coming because when you choose the V+ mode the whole car lowers by 2 inches for more aerodynamic efficiancy . But Ford surprisingly bothered to fit the car with a comfort mode which is absured because the car was based on a racing model so the ride is not what you might define as comfy , in addition the interior of this car  comes with a  nerve-wrecking steering wheel .

You won't have to squeeze your eyes for details , because everything is mounted on the steering wheel , the amount of buttons on it reminds of teenager's face , filled with pimples . Yes I know , utterly discusting , even if you are on comfort mode , your eyes won't be that comfortable , it apears that Ford borrowed its switches of a 1980's radio , it just looks like a cheap horribly designed interior that you won't definetly want to share with anyone because there 's no room for a passenger , remember the giant holes at both sides , yes , they the reason why the driver and the passenger are litetrlly stuffed in the cabin .

At 453k dollars , the Ford GT is definetly a scam . Introducing a pick-up truck engine mounted with carbon fiber wheels and carbon ceramic brake is some sort of a trick pulled by Ford to convince its customers that it can provide a great super car . I can think of over 20 supercars that you buy for less than 500k dollars but I will just give you three European better choices you can consider , the Lamborghini Huracan LP 600 , Ferrari 488 GTB or 2016 Bently GTC  .

Oh wait !! I just remembered that Ford introdcued this car as a hypercar , well , it is enough to say that it has to compete with the Bugatti Chrion then . Good luck Ford .
