Mercedes C63 AMG S Coupe , just forget about the S65 ,

Remember when you were a kid and your parents told you that they are excpecting another baby , well , most of us been there before . You were definetly not prepared to loose your parents attention to another favourite kid , you start growing a certain feeling of jelousy toward your baby brother/ sister so your parents have to protect their new born child from you and caring more for him , and you have just to sit back and shiver in the darkness of loneliness and misery . That 's exactly what happened in Mercedes family .

The car above ladies and gentlemen is the C63 AMG Coupe , the S version . Mercedes introduced this model in the beginning of 2017 and it instantly caught our attention . It became a common knowledge that Mercedes family 's big brother is the S65 AMG model . Through this particular model , Mercedes wanted somehow to remind consumers worldwide that it represents a benchmark in the world of luxurious and extravagant performance cars , to give you an idea on to what extent Mercedes craved for consumers attenttion , it is enough to say that they hired people from Swarovski to forge the dimonds on the headlamps . To be honest the S65 gained a respected status among other luxurious models like the Rolls Royce Wraith and the Bently , but then Mercedes introduced its little baby brother to the " Three Silver Arrows " enthusiats .

I know that is absurd to compare the C63 with the S65 because the S65 is wider and of course , more powerfull than C63 S . But when you look at both models you will find that they are similar in many angles . That's the exact reason why people are buying this car , you get the S model looks (long nose and short back ) with great performance and you get to save money because the S65 has a 200k Dollars price tag .

The C63 Coupe AMG S , I know it is a long name ,but it is a german car , so... Okay , back to the engine now, the Mercedes is equipped with the traditional 4.0 Biturbo V8 engine , you get 4 more cylinders from the  S65 and more than 100  horsepowers , but this little brother produces 503 bhps and 516 lb-ft .
Time to wake this baby up from 0 to 60 mph takes 3.8 seconds ( if you use the launch control ) , and here lays the big problem with this car . If you buy the less extreme and savage version which is the C63 coupe ( without the S badge ) you get from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds yet the engine from this version produces 469 bhps , the amount of horsepower is big but when you get it into action , well , you may figure out that Mercedes yanked a couple of thousand bucks from your pocket for no obvious reason .

Another issue , which I think is going to be a bad mark for this car is the activation of the launch control . In Nissan GTR for instance , you press three buttons and you are good to go . Not the Merc , because it is German and that 's how they do it I guess , In case you wanted to activate the launch control , ready , okay : you have to put the car in sports mode , put it into drive then you need to pull the shifting paddles up together and you have to wait for the car to confirm that you did all this in the proper way and then , you are fully prepared to take on any race .

The car is rear-wheel drive , and has a limited slip differential for better handling . The C63 S has the AMG Speedshift MCT 7-speed sport transmission to synchronize its powerful engine with its agressive looks and to conciliate all your sporty requirements when driving in the hugging bucket seats .

As anticipated , the Merc did not fail to impress its lovers with one of the best interiors available in the market , they managed somehow to reflect the sporty luxurious looks of the outside into the cabin in the inside . You get the beautifuly designed dashbord with sporty yet , fashionable bucket seats .

Mercedes has over 1000 employees in its interior division , just to decide were all the buttons have to be put and how they should look , and they all need a raise for that indeed .
For slightly more than a 100 grand you get to experience the finest of the German automotive craftsmanship without bothering to have the more lavish big brother the S65 .
