Honda NSX , You just can't rush greatness


If you are a chairman of a company , you have two types of employees. The first type will do anything you ask for in a short period of time but you will have to correct him along the process and you might end up doing things by yourself . The second type of employees will delibrately take his time to conduct whatever he was asked to do, but you won't interfere with their work instead you can sit back and watch knownly that they will give you the exact final result that you had in mind . 

Honda ladies and gentlemen is th second type of employees ...

It has been almost two decades since they gave the world the New Sports Experimental , in short the NSX . Developed by Ayrton Senna himself , the car had already the sporting credentials that anyone would demand in exchange for his money , the car kept on coming until 2005 , but then they decided to start on developing the new NSX to keep up with the colossal velocity of the growth witnessed in the automotive industry .

In 2016 , Honda unveiled the replacement of the all time legend and in my view (because this is my blog ) I think Honda made the proper changes on the NSX to secure an esteemed postion among other super cars .


Filled with technology and with its captivating design , the car is without a doubt a choice you need to consider if you are thinking of buying a super car . Other models like Audi R8 , Porsche 911 ,       F-type and 570 S are all been targeted by Honda , just like the old NSX represented the main rival of the Ferrari 328 .
However there are one or two things about the design , For instance , the front end of the car is properly designed , but the back feels like it was drafted before launch time . The exhausts are not what you might call sporty and Honda has done the same thing with the Type R , two big exhausts and smaller ones in between .


The interior is wrapped up in leather and carbon fiber , not too many cars have this sort of combination between these materials in the inside , the steering wheel has a flat top and bottom ( nice touch Honda ) , similar to the one you get in a Ferrari , I guess after all these years they still think Ferrari is their main rival . There are two digital screens , one as the centre console , the other is the gage cluster and they both properly responsive .


Honda thought that one engine is not enough for their ultimate car , so they fitted it with four engines.
One Direct injection  turbocharged V6 engine mounted in the middle , two electric motors for each of the front wheels and another electric motor to compensate the lag from the turbos.
The results are quite impressive , the new NSX produces in total 573 hp and 476 lb-ft of torque , 109 of the torque is produced by the middle electric motor and 57 lb-ft for each of the front electric motors to provide a genuine torque vectoring system similar to the one you get from a Rimac . 
Honda designed this car so you would be able to drive it everyday, that is why it has 4 different driving modes , the most interesting one is not track mode  but "Quiet" mode , the car genuinely stops making noise and you can cruise along without bothering you neighbors . 

Taking so much time to provide a great car is not a big deal , we all remember when Lamborghini released the Aventador , it took them 50 years from the Miura , Countach , Diablo and then the Murcielago to reach another V12 Lambo , so Honda is not exception , but it feels like this car is opening a prosperous horizon for the company to develop greater cars .
