2018 Renault Megane RS , It Has 4 Wheel Steering !

Since the start of the new mellenium Renault confirmed that it has only two spoiled children in its family , these two were called Clio and Megane . In fact the company spent more money on developing these two models more than any other name in the company . Renault went even further by crowing these two with the RS badge and promote them as performance cars .We can all associate Renault's emblem to either the Clio or Megane and that proves that the French auto maker has done a proper job to make the previous models a bit iconic to the brand . 

Now Renault has released its latest RS and it the 5 doors Megane. Unlike the previous model, the new Megane RS comes with two chassis choices , either the soft sport chassis or the harder more traditional  cup chassis . All hot hatches has 4 doors now like its rivals , the Focus , Civic and the new Hyundai . We must say that the latter models are facing a serious challenge in terms of looks because the new Megane is indeed a looker ! 

To be honest Renault has suffered over the years to keep up with  new design trends of its competitors and every time they managed to ruin the car's design even if it drove well . Now though ,  both the Clio and Megane are looking more seductive and smoother than their previous models .


The back end of the Megane looks even better , it is wider and more elegant thanks to the tail lights . The squared exhaust which is a classic touch of the RS models blends with the whole design to give a great sporty looks although it hides two small rounded exhausts in it and that makes it a bit fake as your ex-grilfreind or boyfriend if you are a woman . The diffuser guarantees more stability when going faster but the unique selling point of the Megane RS is its new carefully developed four-wheel steering !!
Yes , the new Megane  RS has the same feature that you can get in a proper luxurious sports car and that is only for 30k £ .


The engine is a 1.8-litre four-cylinder turbo, just like you’ll find in the new Alpine A110 sports car. Only here it drives the front wheels, and it’s more powerful, too. For now, it produces 276bhp and 287lb ft, which means it’s only a smidge more potent than the 2.0-litre turbo it replaces.It also pegs the Megane comfortably behind the Golf R, Leon Cupra and Civic Type R on paper. But like the new Hyundai i30 N, this may be a hatch that’s more about fun than figures. And there’s a 296bhp RenaultSport Megane Trophy promised at the end of 2018 anyway - source : Top Gear.com .
As for the interior , Renault surely made an outstanding effort addressing the prime issue with  every previous model which is driving position , while the other models provided a very high and unconfortable position even in perfomance models , the new Megane give the driver an F1 like sensation which is really good . The Megane gets the latest version of RenaultSport’s ‘Monitor’ tech. As well as displaying your G figures and lap times, its camera can record what you’re up to and send it to your social media accounts for some online bragging. Source : Top Gear.com
Renault has opened a new door of inventions and creative ideas that will serve in favour of hot hatches segment with its four-wheel steering and other features in the infotainment system but there are some drawbacks to their choices like fitting the RS model of the Megane with four doors which might be threatening to their less powerful 202 hp GT , also fitting the Cup version with limited slip diff only is not a good idea because every RS model should be fully equipped to provide the best driving experience from Renault .
